eugenol

CAS Number: 97-53-0

The statistical data we collected from 178 public perfume formulas suggests that the mean dose for eugenol is 0.75%. The typical lower limit is 0.25%, and the usual higher limit is 1.5%. The highest amount of eugenol we encountered in any single formula is 42%, and the lowest was 0.0010%.
Please note that according to the IFRA Standard Category 4, the level of eugenol should not exceed 2.5% of the final product. Assuming that you will be using your formula for an alcoholic perfume at a 10% dilution, this means you should only use eugenol at 25% or less of the formula.
